Devon Sproule announces new record with Mike O'Neill - COLOURS

Devon Sproule's Low-Key Karaoke duets created more than just online entertainment. After Fellow Canadian Mike O'Neill contributed to the project Devon and Mike played a series of shows together. The pair got on so well they started sharing song and lyric ideas via email, the result is Colours Recorded in Toronto and produced by Sandro Perri it features many of the musicians that have helped given the city it's distinctive music scene such as Thomas Gill (T H O M A S), Ryan Driver and Doug Tielli. Colours will be available this summer on CD, gatefold vinyl and download.

Doug Tielli announces new album

Doug Tielli's new record Keresley will be released on Tin Angel Records this summer. Named after the village-cum-suburb, on the outskirts of Coventry, England, where, after a short U.K. tour, Doug took up temporary residence after missing a flight back home to Toronto. He spent the next two months walking a dog, drawing, dreaming, and recording this album. The sounds and songs of Keresley are natural and unlaboured.
The record which will be available as a download, CD and Vinyl, gracefully combines hints of African high life, British folk, free-improvisation, Brazilian spirituals and blue eyed soul. Keresley is a expedition into new sonic terrain. www.facebook.com/dougtielli

To celebrate the release of Evening Hymns' new record Spectral Dusk Tin Angel Records are collaborating with artist Jamie Shovlin to create a limited edition double 12" vinyl with handmade sleeve and bespoke artwork. This will be a rare A, B & C side release limited to only a hundred pressings. Each completely unique record will be hand made, numbered and signed by the artist.
Jamie Shovlin lives and works in London, he has exhibited at the TATE Britain, Haunch Of Venison Berlin, Zurich and London, MACRO, Rome. His work includes Various Arrangements (2012), Hiker Meat (2010), The Evening Redness in the West (2008), Lustfaust: A Folk Anthology (2007).

Marker Starling (Mantler) to tour and support Evening Hymns

He's back! We are delighted to announce the newly sired Marker Starling (formally Mantler) will be heading back to Europe for a number of live dates. These will be the first Marker Starling shows in the UK since his successful tour run with Sandro Perri in 2011. Marker Starling will also support Tin Angel's new signings Evening Hymns on their German tour dates. Expect, tuxedos, party vibes and music so sharp you'll leave the show changed.

Charlie Parr's new album "Barnswallow" is now available to pre-order from tinangelrecords.bandcamp.com/album/barnswallow. The album is available to order in CD, vinyl, and various digital formats. CDs and vinyl are expected to ship in mid-April; digital copies will hit inboxes on Monday 22nd April.

Somewhere in the frozen city of Toronto Devon Sproule has assembled an all-star wrecking crew to assist with her next record. The album is a collaboration with Mike O'Neill and also features the considerable talents of Thomas Gill, Ryan Driver, Robin Dann and Dan Fortin not to mention Sandro Perri behind the desk. Sandro also produced Devon's critically acclaimed 2011 album I Love You, Go Easy. This serene picture is from the rehearsal sessions last week.

Charlie Parr will be coming to London as part of a European tour in support of his new album "Barnswallow". Charlie will be playing a two-night residency at The Slaughtered Lamb, covering Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th June.
In other Charlie news, his new single "True Friends" will be premiered tonight on Gideon Coe's BBC 6Music show at 9pm. New album "Barnswallow" is set to be released in April.

Tin Angel Records are proud to announce their collaboration with Canada's Evening Hymns. Creeping out from the secluded woods of Northern Ontario Evening Hymns have been steadfastly working on some profound new music.
"Originally the bedroom recording project of singer-songwriter Jonas Bonnetta, Evening Hymns have blossomed into a trans-Atlantic-touring ensemble" (Spin Magazine). From their critically lauded debut record Spirit Guides (2009) it was clear that Bonnetta was capable of writing songs that captured deeply personal moments, vivid human experiences and feelings of inspiration.
Evening Hymns' new album will be released this April on Tin Angel Records. The band will be playing live throughout the UK and Europe in spring and have just been added to this year's End Of The Road bill, tickets and information HERE

Tin Angel Records will be releasing "Barnswallow" by Minnesota bluesman Charlie Parr in April 2013. "Barnswallow", named after an instrumental recorded by Parr and The Black Twig Pickers, features ten songs - eight originals and two traditionals - and is the first brand new Charlie Parr album to be released on Tin Angel, following on from the career-spanning compilation "Cheap Wine" (2011).
